CBT is recommended by the National Institute for Health Care and Excellence (NICE) and is widely used within the National Health Service (NHS) as an effective form of talking therapy. Research has shown that combining CBT with hypnotherapy increases the effectiveness of CBT.


Jon Kabat-Zinn defines mindfulness as: “Awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally”. 

By developing an awareness of our moment-to-moment experience we can become more conscious of our thoughts and bodily sensations and how they relate to how we feel. We begin to acknowledge and accept things as they are and can become more attuned to our sensory experience of the world around us, leading to enhanced mental wellbeing.
